Buffalo Trace Eagle Rare 10YO Barrel & Batch No. 3 (750ml)
This is the third single barrel of Eagle Rare exclusively sourced. With multiple global awards piling up even regular Eagle Rare is getting hard to come by. Needless to say any time we’re offered the chance to select one of the limited number of single barrels released each year we jump at it.
With demand outstripping supply the price for Eagle Rare is soaring (excuse the pun), and the price we paid for this single barrel is no exception. While it’s a little more than our previous releases we think it’s well worth the extra and it will look like a bargain as the price continues to rise in years to come.
This barrel was selected from 3 samples by a panel of 10 lucky Barrel & Batch members back in August 2021. They loved the classic Eagle Rare characteristics of toffee, hints of orange peel, honey, leather and oak on the nose followed by a dry and delicate palate of candied almonds a surprisingly big hit of cherry ripe that fills the whole mouth. The finish is medium dry and lingering.
All bottles listed for purchase are from personal collections. Please examine all images carefully and satisfy yourself as to their condition before making a bid. Minor markings are inevitable and collector's should have reasonable expectations in this regard.
