Yamazaki Suntory Pure Malt First Release (760ml)

Yamazaki Suntory Pure Malt First Release (760ml)

760ml Strength 43.0% 1st Batch of Yamazaki Pure Malt from the 14th March 1984.

In 1984, the first pure malt whiskey, the name for single malt whiskey in Japan up to the 90s, was brought onto the Japanese market from Suntory's Yamazaki distillery. This bottling later became Yamazaki for 12 years. The bottle dates from 1984 to 1988 and was only produced in very small numbers. This bottling was never available outside of Japan and today these bottles are extremely rare and very sought after by collectors.

All bottles listed for purchase are from personal collections. Please examine all images carefully and satisfy yourself as to their condition before making a bid. Minor markings are inevitable and collector's should have reasonable expectations in this regard.
