Bold, expressive, and richly layered, Resfeber is a one-off edition from The Lakes Distillery’s acclaimed Whiskymaker’s Editions series. Named after the Swedish word describing the restless excitement before a journey begins, Resfeber captures the spirit of creative exploration through a complex blend of cask types, including red wine barriques and cream sherry. This English single malt is both vibrant and contemplative, showcasing a perfect interplay of ripe fruit, creamy oak, and gentle spice. With every sip, Resfeber invites the drinker into a space between anticipation and arrival, where flavour leads and reverie follows.
Poached pear, honeycomb and almond rise gently from the glass. Hints of vanilla, toffee and polished oak add depth. Silky and elegant with flavours of baked apple, butterscotch, malt and roasted hazelnuts. Layers of spice and dried fruits give a dignified maturity. Long and graceful. Vanilla oak, soft spice and a lingering fruit sweetness stay long after the final sip. Classy and understated.
