The Starward Wine Cask Single Malt whisky is a dynamic edition to New World Whisky Distillery’s range and an exquisite reflection of what whisky can be when tradition is unshackled and new heights are reached.
This unique expression is matured in vibrant Barossa Valley, South Australian ex-shiraz barrels that have been individually selected and kept untouched as they leave the winery to take advantage of the uniquely Australian red wine profile. The barrels are steamed, not charred, to retain the penetration of wine into the wood resulting in a whisky of impeccable balance and complexity.
