Mars Tsunuki Peated 2020 (700ml)
For those new to the Japanese whisky scene, Tsunuki is the second distillery of Mars Whisky, built in 2016 on an historic site in Kagoshima, South Japan. The location is also the birthplace of the parent company, 'Hombo Shuzo' which started over one hundred years ago. This is the second official release after Tsunuki 'The First'. It comes matured in bourbon barrels, but this time aims to showcase a peaty character that was absent from its predecessor, along with honey, barley and crisp apple notes. With an outturn of approximately 15,000 bottles world wide, it comes non chill filtered and bottled at a higher than normal strength of 50% for maximum flavour.
All bottles listed for purchase are from personal collections. Please examine all images carefully and satisfy yourself as to their condition before making a bid. Minor markings are inevitable and collector's should have reasonable expectations in this regard.
