The Macallan Rare Cask Black is peated. It's reported that less than 100 casks have contributed to the creation of 'Mac Black', an out of character whisky which also affirms Macallan’s present commitment to experimentation. All of the barrels were sherry seasoned European and American oak casks, mostly first fill.
The Macallan Rare Cask was crafted to show complexity and depth. Drawn from the broadest spectrum of casks, 16 different types, ever identified by the Master Whisky Maker. Combining Spanish and American sherry seasoned oak casks, high proportion of them first fill, gives rise to an exquisite whisky with a splendidly rich hue, and an unmistakably woody whisky.
All bottles listed for purchase are from personal collections. Please examine all images carefully and satisfy yourself as to their condition before making a bid. Minor markings are inevitable and collector's should have reasonable expectations in this regard.
