Glenrothes 1992 Second Edition (700ml)
The very best casks of Glenrothes are individually selected from a given year's distillation when judged to be at the peak of their perfection. They are then bottled as "Vintage Malts". Some vintages have had more than one release.
This second release from 1992 has been aged in a mixture of refilled Sherry butts and American oak hogsheads. Bottling at a higher strength of 44.3% Alc./Vol. than the first edition has given the whisky greater intensity. It's also non chill filtered.
Also notable for this distillery are the clear glass bottles and understated labels inspired by the sample bottles and checking slips to be found in a distillery sample room. The innovative and unusual "Frame" pack has been designed especially to showcase the elegant bottle and highlight the natural colour and quality of the whisky itself.
All bottles listed for purchase are from personal collections. Please examine all images carefully and satisfy yourself as to their condition before making a bid. Minor markings are inevitable and collector's should have reasonable expectations in this regard.
