Bushmills Steamship Collection #3 Char Bourbon Cask (1L)
The third expression released in the very successful 'Steamship' series, Bushmills Bourbon #3 Char Cask Reserve is the result of a long-standing relationship with the Master coopers at Louisville, Kentucky who reserve some of their best custom-charred x-bourbon casks to mature this unique Irish. The degree of char inside a cask can have a significant impact on a whisk(e)y's flavour, allowing the spirit to cycle deeper into the oak extracting wood-derived flavours. If the charring is done judiciously, the drinker is presented with a myriad of toasty, savoury, barbequed aromas and flavours. In this case, expect subtle notes of toasted oak, spices and crème brûlée with a long, rich and smooth finish.
All bottles listed for purchase are from personal collections. Please examine all images carefully and satisfy yourself as to their condition before making a bid. Minor markings are inevitable and collector's should have reasonable expectations in this regard.
