Miyagikyo Nikka 10 Year Old Single Cask #110923 (700ml)
Miyagikyo was built in 1969 by the Nikka Whisky company. Nikka was founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, a former Suntory employee who had studied at the University of Glasgow, and later trained as a blender at the now lost Hazelburn distillery in Campbeltown. Miyagikyo is primarily a malt distillery, but now also produces Nikka’s grain whisky after it moved the Nishinomaya coffey stills there in the 1999.
This is a single cask release from Nikka's Miyagikyo distillery in Sendai. Miyagikyo is the younger malt distillery in the Nikka portfolio, beginning production in 1969.
Distilled on the 20th of June in 2009 and aged in single cask #110923 until it was bottled in October 2019.
All bottles listed for purchase are from personal collections. Please examine all images carefully and satisfy yourself as to their condition before making a bid. Minor markings are inevitable and collector's should have reasonable expectations in this regard.
