Wild Turkey 101 Proof Rye Whiskey (750ml)
Wild Turkey 101 Rye is distilled from a mash bill of 51% rye, 37% corn, and 12% malted barley. The whiskey is aged for a minimum of four years before being bottled at Wild Turkey’s iconic 101 proof. A fine mixer and good enough to sip, Wild Turkey 101 Rye is terrific workhorse whiskey. The nose opens with sweet scents of honey and caramel backed by clove and black pepper spice. The caramel and honey carry over to the palate, where they are joined by mint, licorice, and citrus notes. The whiskey finishes with some black pepper spice along with hints of citrus and mint.
Wild Turkey is an absolute institution in the American whiskey world. The modern version of Wild Turkey was named in 1940 but the brand really took off after Master Distiller Jimmy Russel joined the distillery in 1954.
