The Lakes Whiskymakers Editions Forbidden Fruit 46.6% (700ml)
The Lakes Whiskymaker’s Distillery is a relatively new single malt whisky distillery located in Cumbria, England. It was founded in 2014 by Paul Currie, a third-generation whisky maker, and is part of the Lakes Distillery Company. The distillery produces a range of single malt whiskies, including the Lakes Single Malt, the Lakes Whiskymaker’s Reserve, and the Lakes Explorer Edition. The whiskies are produced using a combination of traditional and modern techniques, and are aged in a variety of casks, including ex-Bourbon, ex-Sherry, and French oak. The distillery also offers tours and tastings for visitors, and has quickly become a popular destination for whisky enthusiasts in the UK.
Forbidden Fruit matured in a combo of rustic old Port casks and vibrant dessert wine casks for an unconventional pairing, brimming with stewed fruits, Turkish Delight, and earthy cocoa.
