This featured bottling of Johnnie Walker John Walker & Sons Private Collection 2017 Master of Oak Edition is a premium example of just what the range has to offer. Housed in a one-of-a-kind, elaborately decorated wooden case embossed with a prominent Walker & Sons crest, this profound iteration was produced in a mere 5,588 individually hand-numbered decanters. Released as the fourth edition from this series, John Walker & Sons Private Collection 2017 Master of Oak is composed of superior grain and malt distillate carefully chosen by Master Blender Jim Beveridge and Aimée Gibson. Each whisky was matured in a selection of three cask types; American oak ex-bourbon, refill American and European oak, and finally, experimental American oak casks primarily treated with intense vanilla and salt curation. Bottled at 46.8% ABV, expect notes of vanilla, oak, toffee, and orchard fruits throughout, with a finish that is deep, sweet, and beyond decadent.
