The Macallan 1824 Series Amber Single Malt Whisky is a memorable iteration introduced as part of Macallan's NAS range of Speyside single malts. Concentrating on the color of each release, the series is built around the theory that by using 100% ex-sherry casks and allowing for the whisky's natural color to shine through - the darker the shade of whisky, the more complexity and age it offers. The Macallan 1824 Series Amber is the second of these color-coded iterations and is bottled at 43% ABV. The nose offers pops of lush lemon, citrus, barley grain, and vanilla over a palate of creamy cereal, dates, and golden sultanas spiced with cinnamon.
