Bowmore 23 Year Old "Lovers Transformed" (700ml)
This Royal Mile Whiskies Exclusive Daftmill Single Sherry Cask. Filled on December 18th 2011 and bottled in January 2025, this 13 year old was carefully selected by our whisky buyers in August 2024 from a handful of sherry casks. Cask #96 stood out as we felt it showed a fine balance of distillery character and sherry influence.
Honey, dark chocolate, rye spice, nutty notes, stone fruits and more. It is a whisky with lots to say.
This marks our second single cask exclusive with Daftmill. Our first was a 2006 first-fill bourbon cask, one of the very first single casks released from the distillery in 2019.
Nose – Fresh stone fruits, caramel, cocoa, a hint of wax, then the remnants of a chocolate box.
Palate – An elegant chewy texture emerges revealing oranges, apricots and rye spice. Then after some time chestnut honey and raisins.
Finish – Some spice continues but then floral, citrus peel before dark chocolate and honey drenched stone fruits.
This bottle of Daftmill 2011 13 Year Old Sherry Cask RMW Exclusive #96 is an official bottling which was produced in the Lowland region of Scotland.
