A Highland style Benriach have nailed. No doubting the peat input here: Hickory chips, bbq sauce, smoked sausages and later, chimney soot and a touch of caraway make an already big malt feel even bigger... In the mouth it's sweet and juicy with oily barley, wood smoke, beef jerky and black pepper in tantalising harmony. The finish is long and smokey, with the Madeira adding fruit cake and nutty richness. 59% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. 129 bottles.
