The Lakes Distillery Company was established in 2011 by Paul Currie, his second venture after founding Isle of Arran distillers in 1995. To raise funds for the distillery, the company launched The One in 2013, a blend of whiskies from all four nations of the UK. Its location in the dilapidated Victorian cattle farm in the Lake District National Park in Cumbria was a perfect fit. In 2014, the distillery flowed its first spirit from its custom-made McMillan still, with a separate small still dedicated to vdka and gin production. With renowned ex-Macallan Whisky Maker, Dhavall Ghandi at the helm, the distillery's single malt is primarily matured in sherry casks. Its inaugural release in 2018 was the highly sought-after Genesis, which was exclusively auctioned at Whisky Auctioneer. In 2019, the distillery introduced its first market-wide release
This is the sixth of the Whiskymaker's Reserve releases from The Lakes, with this expression having been matured in Pedro Ximenez sherry, oloroso sherry and red wine casks.
All bottles listed for purchase are from personal collections. Please examine all images carefully and satisfy yourself as to their condition before making a bid. Minor markings are inevitable and collector's should have reasonable expectations in this regard.
